1. About the Foundation
The Healing Relationships Today Foundation (“HRT Foundation,” “we,” “us”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of Utah. Our mission is to support individuals and families navigating faith transitions, belief changes, and related family challenges.
2. Educational Content — Not Professional Advice
All content on this Site — including articles, resources, materials, and courses — is provided for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on this Site constitutes or should be construed as professional therapy, medical advice, legal advice, or counseling of any kind.
Use of this Site does not create a therapist-client, counselor-client, attorney-client, or any other professional relationship between you and the HRT Foundation or any of its staff, volunteers, or affiliates.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please contact a licensed mental health professional or call 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) immediately.
3. Courses and Educational Programs
Courses offered through this Site are self-guided educational programs designed to provide information and perspective on topics related to faith transitions and family healing. They are not therapy, clinical treatment, or a substitute for professional mental health services.
Completion of any course does not certify, license, or qualify participants in any professional capacity. Course content reflects educational perspectives and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
4. Therapy Grant Program
The HRT Foundation offers grants that contribute toward the cost of therapy sessions for eligible individuals and families. Submitting a grant application does not guarantee approval. Grant awards are subject to fund availability and the foundation’s eligibility criteria, which may change at any time.
Grants contribute $50 per session toward the cost of therapy. Grant payments go directly to the therapist or practice.
4a. Designated Grants
Donors may choose to designate a donation toward a therapy grant for a specific recipient. Designated donations operate under the following terms:
- The foundation’s obligation under a designation is limited to the amount the donor has contributed toward the recipient’s therapy sessions. A full grant contributes $300 toward six therapy sessions at $50 per session; if the donor’s contribution is less than $300, the foundation’s obligation does not extend to the difference. Any further support the recipient may receive, from this foundation or otherwise, is separate from the designation and is not implied by it.
- Processing fees. Payment processors deduct transaction fees from donations before the net amount reaches the foundation. The foundation’s obligation under any designation is limited to the net amount received after processor fees, not the gross amount charged to the donor. For example, a $300 donation may net approximately $293 after fees; the obligation is to the net amount received.
- The designated recipient must submit a grant application using the code provided, and their email must match the designation on file, for the grant to be awarded.
- Time limits. The recipient has 3 months from the date of designation to submit their application. Once the application is confirmed, they have 3 months to begin their first therapy session. At any point where no action is taken for 3 months, the designated contribution may be redirected to the general fund to help others in need.
- Designated donations are non-refundable.
5. Donations
The HRT Foundation is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Consult your tax advisor regarding deductibility.
All donations are final and non-refundable except in cases of documented processing error. If you believe a donation was processed in error, contact us within 30 days at info@healingrelationshipstoday.org.
Donations support both the therapy grant program and the operational costs that make our work possible — including technology, administration, compliance, and other organizational expenses. The foundation uses donations for grant funding and operations, seeking to optimize grant funding while supporting necessary operational costs. All funds are used in furtherance of our 501(c)(3) mission.
6. No Warranties
This Site and all content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the HRT Foundation and its officers, directors, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this Site or participation in any program.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
