Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 7, 2026. This policy applies to information collected through the therapy support grant application on this site.

What we collect

When you submit a therapy support grant application, we collect:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, and preferred contact method
  • Your city, state or province, and country
  • Household income range and health insurance status
  • Information about your family situation and the challenges you are navigating
  • Information about your current and past experience with therapy or counseling

Why we collect it

We collect this information solely to evaluate therapy support grant applications and connect applicants with appropriate support. We do not use it for marketing and do not share it with third parties without your permission.

How it is stored

Your application is stored in a secure WordPress database hosted on DreamHost. Regular encrypted backups are maintained. Access is limited to foundation staff involved in application review.

Who sees it

Only authorized foundation staff reviewing grant applications have access to your information. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with outside parties without your explicit permission. A case where information may be shared with your permission is if you ask us to help connect you with a therapist — in that case, we may share relevant portions of your application with that therapist to help them understand your situation.

How long we keep it

We retain application data for as long as it remains relevant to your situation or our ability to support you. We may reach out periodically to check whether your information is still current. You may request deletion or correction at any time by contacting us at the address below.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect applications already submitted and under review)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request its deletion.

Minors

Our grant application is intended for adults 18 years of age or older. A parent or guardian may submit an application on behalf of a minor in their household, but the person completing the form must be 18 or older.
